About Me
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT license # 35071) with a private practice office in Corte Madera, California. With over 25 years of experience, I have successfully treated individual adults, adolescents, couples and families. In my eclectic practice, I help clients with anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship struggles, phase of life challenges, career transitions, and grief and loss. I am passionate about supporting mothers and couples through all phases of their parenting journey, from pregnancy planning to postpartum adjustment to parenting. My expertise also lies in treating eating disorders, chemical dependency and other addictions.
After earning my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, I completed a 2-year internship at the Community Institute for Psychotherapy. For the next 5 years, I gained critical work experience at an intensive outpatient program for the treatment of chemical dependency and eating disorders. In 2000, I launched my private practice full-time.
In addition to seeing clients in my private practice, I served for 2 years as Clinical Director of the Eating Disorder Treatment Program at the Community Institute for Psychotherapy (CIP). There, I trained and supervised post-masters interns in the treatment of eating disorders. I also created and ran EmBody Power, CIP’s eating disorder prevention program, for 6 years. As part of that program, I led support groups with middle school and high school students and gave eating disorder prevention presentations to students, staff and parents.
Though I continue to treat eating disorders and other addictions, the birth of my children ignited my interest in helping mothers and couples transition to parenthood. I am certified by Postpartum Support International in the Assessment and Treatment of Perinatal Mood Disorders and became a Gottman Certified “Bringing Baby Home” Educator. Those trainings have led me to successfully treat mothers and families individually, in couples therapy, in a Postpartum Support Group and in workshops for new and expecting parents.
Over time, with Gina’s support and guidance I started to feel less anxious and more in control of my life. Gina always created a safe environment where I could be vulnerable and myself. Words cannot express how much Gina has helped me, and my family.
